Have you heard of The Ghost Mountain Boys? What about 1942’s battle for New Guinea. It’s time to revisit the forgotten war of the Pacific.

While campaigns like the D-Day invasion and the Battle of the Bulge are commonly discussed in 1940s military history, this entry is notibly absent.

Americans known as the “Ghost Mountain Boys,” endured unimaginable hardships during a forty-two-day march from New Guinea’s south coast to the north coast battlefields of Buna.

Their story, filled with heroism and tragedy, is one that should not be forgotten. Learn more in the video below.
