The company acted quickly, halting the intrusion within hours and maintaining full operational capacity. “We continue to serve our customers as we respond to this incident,” Aflac said in a statement.
While the full scope of the breach is still under investigation, Aflac is offering 24 months of free credit monitoring, identity theft protection, and Medical Shield to potentially affected individuals who contact their call center.
The company has emphasized its commitment to transparency and security as it continues to assess the situation.
