Hero Highlight: Honoring Richard Keep

This month, we celebrate World War II veteran Richard “Dick” Keep from Ottumwa, Iowa. A member of the U.S. Army’s 12th Armored Division and 82nd Reconnaissance Squadron, Keep served bravely from 1943 to 1945, helping to defend freedom during one of history’s darkest times.

At 99 years old, Keep was recently honored in Congress ahead of his 100th birthday celebration. U.S. Rep. Marianette Miller-Meeks praised him on the House floor, recognizing both his military service and his remarkable 81-year marriage to his wife, Carol.

We thank Mr. Keep for his incredible service and dedication. Read more about his inspiring journey here.
